The Story of a Dead Rat

One morning I was awakened by the sound of crying kittens inside my house. I wondered where that sound came from since I cannot recall bringing a cat inside my house. Upon checking, I saw three little kittens cuddling among themselves in one corner of my porch. Their mother must have left them to search for food. Honestly, I am not a fan of cats. I had a bad history with cats when I was I child. Since then, I never saw myself owning one. That’s why that morning, I was figuring out how to transfer those kittens away from my house. However, seeing those cute little creatures made my heart melt and I just decided to keep them for a few weeks or until such time they are strong enough to leave my property. One night, I went home late from work. As I approached our main door, I was greeted by a foul smell coming from the porch where the kittens lived. My life is a never ending trail of stress and problems brought about by the nature of my work, my ventures, and by the people whom I love but stresses me out. I usually start my day early and end it very late. Sleep for me was a luxury and rest was just a dream. Weekend is not the end of my week but it is always the beginning of it.
