Predicting the future. Is it a gift?

How I wish I have the gift of Nostradamus so that I can predict the future.  I want to know the future so that I can prepare myself and my loved ones in the uncertainties of this world, Like this Covid19 pandemic for instance, If I knew this would happen, I would have saved enough money, stocked more groceries, and bought all the medical supplies to survived me for a year.  Looking back at my life, there were so many failures and pains that I've been through, I wished I would have prevented it. If I knew I will be involved in a vehicle accident when I was six, I would have never left the house. If I knew that I will be involved in a painful relationship, I would have taken a different path. And If I knew that it was the last day of my dad on this earth, I would have spent more time with him before his last breath. The Story of a Dead Rat

One morning I was awakened by the sound of crying kittens inside my house. I wondered where that sound came from since I cannot recall bringing a cat inside my house. Upon checking, I saw three little kittens cuddling among themselves in one corner of my porch. Their mother must have left them to search for food. Honestly, I am not a fan of cats. I had a bad history with cats when I was I child. Since then, I never saw myself owning one. That’s why that morning, I was figuring out how to transfer those kittens away from my house. However, seeing those cute little creatures made my heart melt and I just decided to keep them for a few weeks or until such time they are strong enough to leave my property. One night, I went home late from work. As I approached our main door, I was greeted by a foul smell coming from the porch where the kittens lived. This morning I woke up with a heavy heart. These past few days, I was down and feeling troubled. I felt that things were not going the way I envisioned it to be. I felt everything was not working as planned despite my efforts. I felt frustrated and tired. I also felt that people around me are also not appreciating the efforts that I have put into my work. As a result I felt doubt in myself and I can no longer see the value of what I am doing. I am worried about my present and my future. As I get out of my bed, I sat down near my bedroom window and I cannot stop from staring at the bright blue sky. It was so beautiful! So I went outside our house and a cold morning breeze greeted my face. The wind was cold but I felt warmth in my heart. We always come across the word destiny, but most of us do not really know what it means. D estiny is a predetermined event in a person’s life that is beyond human control. Destiny is also known as our “purpose in life” . In my own opinion, it will take a big deal of time before we discover our true destiny is . I myself who is already 42 years old as of this writing is still in doubt of what my real task in this world. Every single day I always ask my self what my Creator wrote in my palm and what is waiting for me at the end of this tunnel called life. Work now, play later

Lucky are those who were born wealthy for they are already enjoying the fruits of their parents' hard work. For the unfortunate ones, we are working very hard to support our current needs and to secure a better future for our children. Most of us want a better life and a secured future. If we want a comfortable life tomorrow, we should work earnestly today. But don't forget to rest and play in between. Remember, life is not always about work. Always find time to enjoy life after a long days work. Have a great day!

People will never forget how you made them feel

Maya Angelou, an American poet once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."  This message of Ms. Angelou is indeed correct based on my personal experiences. Honestly, it is so easy for me to cherish those people who cradled me during my darkest moments and I will always remember them as long as I am alive. Those good-hearted people made me feel that I am not alone and they were by my side when I fought those battles. On the other hand, it is also hard for me not to forget those people who inflicted pain in my life - those people who shoved me down and destroyed part of my life. And I also cannot forget those people around me who just watched me go down the drain without exerting a single finger to pull me out of that darkness. I so cannot forget them until now. But don't get me wrong, I have no plans of seeking revenge on those people. I'm just saying ...

Deep sadness

Source Its been more than three months since my father passed away, honestly I still carry the pain of his death inside me. His death left a deep hole inside my heart and no matter how hard I try to move on with my life the deeper that hole gets. There was no day since he died that I never cried. For his memories always bring tears in my eyes. I believe this pain will stay with me forever for his memories are permanently embedded in my heart and mind. I am fine with it, because his memories are worth the pain. My dad was not a perfect father, but for me he was the best. He was my shield, my sword, and my strength. When I was young and until the day he died, just a mere sight of him made me feel secured. I considered him as my fortress who protected me from all the agonies of this life. Where Can We Find the Truth?

Image Source: Wikipedia In the book “Boiling Point” by Gorge Barna and Mark Hatch, many individuals who call themselves Christians were having difficulty answering the following questions: Did Jesus ever sinned? Was Jesus truly resurrected? Do all religions teach the same basic ideas about God and spirituality? These authors made a survey among professing believers; the survey focused on answering the three (3) questions mentioned earlier. The results are quite alarming. One-fourth said Jesus committed sins, one-third said He did not rise from the dead, and another one-third said all religions are basically the same.
