One morning I was awakened by the sound of crying kittens inside my house. I wondered where that sound came from since I cannot recall bringing a cat inside my house. Upon checking, I saw three little kittens cuddling among themselves in one corner of my porch. Their mother must have left them to search for food. Honestly, I am not a fan of cats. I had a bad history with cats when I was I child. Since then, I never saw myself owning one. That’s why that morning, I was figuring out how to transfer those kittens away from my house. However, seeing those cute little creatures made my heart melt and I just decided to keep them for a few weeks or until such time they are strong enough to leave my property. One night, I went home late from work. As I approached our main door, I was greeted by a foul smell coming from the porch where the kittens lived. I checked it out and I saw a dead rat rested right beside the kittens. The mother cat must have collected and stored it for food. I w...

Maya Angelou, an American poet once said, "I've learned that people will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel."  This message of Ms. Angelou is indeed correct based on my personal experiences. Honestly, it is so easy for me to cherish those people who cradled me during my darkest moments and I will always remember them as long as I am alive. Those good-hearted people made me feel that I am not alone and they were by my side when I fought those battles. On the other hand, it is also hard for me not to forget those people who inflicted pain in my life - those people who shoved me down and destroyed part of my life. And I also cannot forget those people around me who just watched me go down the drain without exerting a single finger to pull me out of that darkness. I so cannot forget them until now. But don't get me wrong, I have no plans of seeking revenge on those people. I'm just saying ...

2012 may not be a good year for some of us. The harshness of destiny may have lingered to long inside our lives for us not be successful with our 2012 plans. Painful situations may have dragged our spirits behind the shadows of our tears and stopped us from fighting for our dreams. Our health may have failed us, making our feet too weak to walk us through the roads of crisis. We gave up, we stopped fighting, we failed. But before we lose our hope, let us remind ourselves that every failure, every tragedy, and every suffering that cross our path is a new lesson learned. Failures are natures way of making us strong and prepared for our next crisis. Life is a never ending cycles of trials and success, but do not stop from fighting for your dreams. Trials may have toppled you last 2012. But this year, its your turn to fight back and to reclaim your victory.
