Image Source Chinese New Year is around the corner and the first thing that comes into my mind when I think of Chinese New Year is Feng Shui. Just recently, I thought of selling my current house and I am considering of buying a new one. I consulted a Feng Shui Master to guide me on my purchase. For some of you who still do not know who a Feng Shui Master is, he is someone who practices Feng Shui, he is sometimes called geomancer. The word Feng Shui on the other hand is literally translated as wind and water. Feng Shui is a methodology or practice used in assessing the qualities of a location or property and its effects on the occupants. It is usually known as Chinese geomancy.   Anyway, during the process of my consultation with a Feng Shui Master, I was surprised on some of his advices regarding the location, position and as well as the design of both the interior and exterior of my future house. I like to share some of his Feng Shui advices. When buying a house, try ...

How to have a satisfying life

In today’s fast-paced world, many modern-day workers are pushing their limits - taking two or three jobs at a time resulting to weekend shifts, stressful meetings, frequent client calls, and the likes. This is on top of their daily household activities like doing the groceries, general cleaning, baby-sitting, walking the dog, etc. These workers collapse into bed at night… exhausted. As a result, modern-day employees put themselves under pressure in order to be successful in their work and to earn more money. This way they can buy luxury and use their money to experience everything they can possibly can. They have raised the bar of their own expectations and they ...

Live to Survive?

Time is more valuable than gold, its priceless! It is so precious that we should cherish every minute of it. We should dedicate every second of it not only for the enrichment of ourselves but also for the enrichment of other people. However, our modern-day society turned this world to a place where we spend more time working to acquire money and resources to satisfy our material needs. We now have fewer time to think, help, and inspire other people. For those of us who belong to the working society, we are practically devoting our entire years saving for retirement to financially prepare us for our old age. We are exhausting our time earning money to send our children to school. And by the time our children finish their schooling, they will be prepared to take a job that will serve as their means to survive their future life. This cycle goes on until the end of the last generation. What a way to spend our precious time! We just spend it working for money to feed our day to d...

A Mystery Called Life

Image Source Life is full of m y ster ies . No amount of preparedness and planning can unlock its secret s.   Sometimes we tend to underestimate the value of our life until it backfires on us... and that will be the only time we will appreciate its worth. My life is a never ending trail of stress and problems brought about by the nature of my work, my ventures, and by the people whom I love but stresses me out. I usually start my day early and end it very late. Sleep for me was a luxury and rest was just a dream. Weekend is not the end of my week but it is always the beginning of it. Time was never my best companion because it never stays besides me.   Life for me is a struggle; I live life not to enjoy it but to endure it.  My existence in this universe and how I see it was sculpted by the norms dictated by our materialistic society and not by the calling of my internal being. Most of the time, I traveled a path known to many but stranger to m...

The Price of Freedom

Many heroes fought for it. They shed blood to protect it. They sacrificed their own lives to attain it. In exchange for independence and freedom, these brave men and women gave their last breath so all of us who are living now can enjoy it. Freedom from Social Norms For most of us, we can already say that we live in an independent and freedom loving country. However, some aspects of our culture still restrict us to be different – to be free. For most of us, we choose to chain ourselves from the norms of society. If we go against it, we will risk ourselves from being tagged as either rebellious or outcast.  But to those who survived, probably bruised from the experience, have taught them how to be brave like our national heroes. If you are willing to take the risk of breaking the norms of society, one must be willing to go blind so that you will not see the harshness of the punishments for your deviancy. Also, one must be willing to go deaf so one will n...
