World leaders will gather in Copenhagen, Denmark for the 2009 United Nations Climate Change Conference hopefully to sign on to an agreement committing to restrictions on emissions and which will also replace the Kyoto Protcol which will expire on 2012. No one knows what will be the result of the said conference, but no matter how many world leaders will sign the agreement, destruction of our environment will continue if said treaty will not be implemented by member countries. Battling climate change is not about the actual signing of a treaty, it all about commitment. Leaders who will sign the treaty will need to instruct their local leaders or local government units to lead the fight against climate change since they are the implementer of laws to the ultimate member of society.
